How to Make Salad More Interesting

Salad usually consists of tomatoes, bland iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots and a lumpy dressing. That is the reason why most people tend to avoid consuming them regularly and instead go for meat based foods. However, by following some simply instructions, you can make your salad more palatable and delicious. There are numerous food items which are healthy and can liven up the taste of your salad. However, you need to make sure you have appropriate proteins, fats and carbohydrates in order to make a perfectly balanced meal.

    Add nuts



    You can add nuts to enhance the taste of your favorite salad. Not only will it improve the taste of your salad but will also increase its nutritious value.



    These nuts are rich in vitamins and also add to the crunch. However, keep in mind that they have high fat content. If you are looking forward to eat a low calorie salad then do not use them. 



    You can use a variety of nuts such as peanuts, walnuts, pistachios.

    Whenever you are preparing a vegetable salad, you can always add fruits such as strawberries, raspberries or even blueberries. Besides these, you can even add dried fruits. These fruits will give a nice contrast to the light flavored vegetables.
