Instructions

  • 1

    Preheat the oven

The first step is to preheat the oven at 425 degree Fahrenheit.

  • 2

Line the crust in the die

In this recipe we are using a readymade pie crust. Make sure that the crust has been de-frozen properly and spread it on a 9-inch glass pie plate.

    Initial baking

Take a foil and line it over the pie shell. This foil is filled with either dried bean or uncooked rice. Bake for 15 minutes, remove the foil, and then put the pie plate back in the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes. Allow the bake to cool down on the rack and lower the temperature of the oven 350 Fahrenheit.

    Chop the pecans

Take a cup of pecan and chop them coarsely. The remaining pecans will be used in the form of halves.

  • 5

    Mix the ingredients

Take a large bowl and add corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla and eggs. Now whisk them thoroughly until they are blended properly. Now add the chopped pecans and ones which have been left in the form of halves.

    Final Baking

Add the mixture on the crust shell. Put the glass dish in the oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes. This should be good enough to set the edges of the filling. The pie should be cooled on the wire rack for about 10-15 minutes and can be garnished with whipped cream and pecans.
