Ingredients
- Onion, chopped - 1 large
- Canola oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black beans, rinsed and drained - 2 cans (15 ounces each)
- Diced tomatoes with garlic and onion - 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each)
- Chicken or vegetable broth - 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each)
- Kidney beans, rinsed and drained - 1 can (16 ounces)
- Cannellini or white kidney beans, rinsed and drained - 1 can (15 ounces)
- Fresh or frozen corn - 1-1/2 cups
- Garlic cloves, minced - 4
- Ground cumin - 1-1/2 teaspoons
- Chili powder - 1-1/2 teaspoons
- Hot pepper sauce - ⅛ to ¼ teaspoon
Instructions
- Wash all the utensils before making southwestern bean soup.
- Take a large bowl and put all the necessary vegetables. Put slight water in the pan and start boiling the vegetables.
- First you should assure that onions and garlic are almost tendered during the boiling process.
- Stir the boiling mixture well.
- Serve it with tortilla chips, shredded cheese and sour cream.
