How To Make Spinach Dip

For many types of food, dip is a common condiment. It are used to liven up the flavour of foods such as crackers, raw vegetables, potato chips, falafel, seafood etc. Instead of adding tomato or mustard sauce, these foods are dipped into the dipping sauce to make it more delicious. Dips are mainly used for finger foods and appetizers. It is a very widespread food and its forms are eaten all over the world.

Spinach dip is the most common dip available in many restaurants. It is widely used for tortilla chips and vegetables.

Ingredients:
Butter or margarine: 2 tbs.
Chopped onion or green onions: 2 tbs.
Clove garlic, minced: 1
Soft cream cheese (two 12-oz. containers): 24 oz.
Milk: 2 tbs.
Box frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry: 10-oz.
Zest and juice of lemon: 1
Worcestershire sauce, or to taste: 1 tsp.
Few drops hot-pepper sauce
Minced red bell pepper: 1 c.

    Melt butter

    First of all you need to melt butter in a saucepan. You need to take a medium-sized saucepan for melting. Keep the saucepan over medium heat.

    Add onion and garlic

    After melting the butter, add onion and garlic into the saucepan. Simmer them on gentle heat until they turn golden. Remember to stir all the ingredients using a wooden spoon.

    Add cream, cheese and milk

    Add cream, cheese, and milk after tendering onion and garlic. Then cook these ingredients under medium heat and remember to stir it constantly.

    Add spinach, lemon zest, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce

    Next you need to add spinach, lemon zest, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce into the saucepan. Stir the ingredients constantly and tender them with medium heat.

    If you are using hot pepper sauce then you need to add it now.

    Add red bell pepper

    After heating spinach, lemon zest, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce, add half of the red bell pepper. Stir it thoroughly.

    Serve the spinach dip

    Put the finished product into serving bowl and sprinkle the remaining half of the red bell pepper.

    You can serve with vegetable dippers.
