Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour (about 1 cup): 4.75 ounces
- Rye flour (about 1 cup): 4 ounces
- Cornmeal: 1 cup
- Raisins: 1 cup
- Baking sod: 2 teaspoons
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- Buttermilk: 2 cups
- Molasses: ¾ cup
- Butter, melted: 2 tablespoons
- Grated orange rind: 1 tablespoon
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- The first and foremost thing you will do is to rinse your utensils as it’s really important to remove dirt and germs.
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Take a mixing bowl and combine flour, cornmeal, raisin, baking soda and salt. Stir with a whisk and then add buttermilk, molasses, rind and mix to moisten the ingredients.
- Coat your loaf pans with cooking spray and then put your mixture in loaf pans. Cover these pans with foil and place them in the oven.
- Bake them until it changes its colour and then serve after bringing them to normal temperature.
