Strawberry salad dressing is one of the most tastiest and delicious dressings to top your salads with. It is a perfect blend of fresh strawberries, olive oil, corn-starch, black pepper and raspberry vinegar to go with your fruit salads.
Ingredients
- Fresh strawberries - 2 cups
- Berry vinegar, such as raspberry vinegar - ½ cup
- Olive oil - ¼ cup
- Cornstarch - 1 tsp
- Black pepper - ¼ tsp
Instructions
- First of all, take a large bowl and put the strawberries in it.
- If you want to remove the seeds from the strawberries, you can take them out.
- However, they don't really affect the taste.
- Now, take a food processor or a blender and puree the strawberries until they become smooth.
- Make sure that all the strawberries are properly blended before adding the vinegar.
- Blend the mixture more after adding the vinegar so that it mixes up well.
- Now, take the corn starch and add it into the bowl.
- It is extremely important for you to add the right quantity of the corn starch, otherwise your dressing's consistency will be affected.
- After adding the corn starch, you have to add the black pepper.
- Don’t use excessive black pepper as it may make the dressing bitter.
- Now add the olive oil into the bowl and keep mixing it until you see small beads.
- If you add too much oil, your dressing will taste bland and oily.
- Now mix everything up some more and place the dressing in the refrigerator.
- The dressing tastes best when cold.
