The Sweetheart Corn Bread is a very delicious recipe that you can serve to anyone in your family. You can shape the bread any way you like and as the Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, shape it into a heart if you are having a plan on that day. Even if you do not have a heart shaped pan in your kitchen, you can add ribbons to its sides to give it a colourful touch.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- ½ cup canola oil
- 1 can (8-1/4 ounces) cream-style corn
- 1-1/2 cups cornmeal
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Now that you have all the things and ingredients required to bake a tasty Sweetheart Corn Bread, it is time to roll up your sleeves and start working.
- First, take a large bowl and in that bowl. Beat eggs uniformly.
- Now, add sour cream, oil and corn to the bowl and mix them well.
- Try stirring the dry ingredients until they are not combined.
- Now that all the ingredients have combined, pour the mixture into a heart shaped baking pan or a round pan that is greased and floured.
- Now carefully place the pan in the oven and set the heat at 425 degrees. Let the mixture bake for 20 to 25 minutes and make sure that you do not open the oven until the mixtures gets this brown colour.
- After the bread has been baked, let it cool for 10 minutes before you remove it from the rack.
- Take your ribbons and tie them on the sides of the bread and serve it on a platter.
