Cook time: 20-25 min
Total time: 60-75 min
Yield: 02 servings
Utensils: Bowl, Spoon, Paper Towel, Pan, Knife, Cooking spray, Large pot with lid
Ingredients:
Lean ground meat: 1 lb
Onion: 1/2 large
Crookneck squash: 4 small
Green bell pepper: 1
Corn kernels: 1 cup
Ripe tomato: 1
Cloves of garlic: 2
Chilli powder: 1 tsp
Pinch of dried ground cumin
Salt
Pepper
Instructions
-
1
Chop half onion
Take a large onion and peel its skin. Slice it into half and chop one of the two pieces into small pieces. -
2
Add garlic and tomato with the onion
After chopping the onion in one bowl, do the same with one tomato and toss them. After that, take a couple of garlic cloves and mince them before combining with the onion and tomato. -
3
Slice the squash
Take another large bowl and slice the squash into it. You can add green bell pepper to that bowl too, but it depends on your taste. Some people don’t like spicy stuff, so they can avoid adding any pepper. -
4
Heat oil in a pan
Place a dry pan on the stove and heat oil in it. You can use the cooking spray in place of the oil. It depends on what you like. In both situations, the ingredients will not stick to the pan. -
5
Add meat to the pan
Add ground meat to the pan and make sure that you cook it on medium heat. At this point, you can also add the salt, pepper, ground cumin and chilli powder as per your taste. -
6
Pour water into the pan
Once the meat gets golden brown, you can add some water to it, so that it does not burn. -
7
Mix the remaining ingredients
Now, combine all the other ingredients, you had chopped earlier into two separate bowls. After adding them to the pan, make sure that everything settles in nicely. -
8
Cook with lid on
Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Make sure that the heat is not much, as that could spoil the recipe. Once you remove the lid, check whether the dish has been prepared or not. If not, you can simmer it for a few more minutes until getting the desired result.
