You can use chocolate covered strawberries on a special occasion such as Valentine's Day or make them as a treat for dessert. Coating strawberries with milk or dark chocolate is quite common; however, if you want a delectable treat then coat your strawberries in white chocolate, which will give this dessert a new dimension.
Ingredients
- Two bars of white chocolate
- Pint of strawberries - 1
- Sugar
Instructions
- Buy some fresh strawberries and a saucepan if you do not have one.
- Take the saucepan and pour water into it. Heat the water till it starts to boil and then turn the burner off or lower it down.
- Now get the strawberries and wash them thoroughly to remove any dirt etc.
- You now have to put a glass bowl over the boiling water in the saucepan before adding white chocolate bars into the bowl by breaking them up.
- Take a spoon and start stirring the pieces until the chocolate melts completely and you have a paste.
- Once the chocolate is melted, you need to pick one of the strawberries and place it in the chocolate.
- The strawberry needs to be coated by the chocolate so it is advised that you roll the strawberry around.
- Make sure that the strawberry is coated evenly.
- Be careful not to burn yourself while removing the strawberry from the white chocolate.
- Use a spoon when you lift the strawberry out. Take a wax paper and spread it on a table or a big pan.
- Place the strawberry on it to allow it to cool off.
- You need to coat the remaining strawberries in the same way and once all the strawberries are done, you need to place them in a refrigerator before serving.
