Instructions

  • 1

First of all, you need to open the presentation in which you want to put animation effects into. If you do not have any previous presentation, open a blank Keynote file in which you can enter text effects.

  • 2

After you have opened the file, you will need to select the Text Box button which will be located in the Keynote toolbar. This will enable you to write the text on a blank presentation. If you have already written the text, skip this step.

  • 3

When you click the Text Box button, you will then have to type in the word(s) which you want to animate. The Text Box will automatically adjust itself to fit in the words which you are typing. Once you are done writing, you need to click anywhere outside the Text Box and the type mode will end.

If you want to change the size of the text that you have entered, click on the selection handles on the edges of the Text Box and expand/contract it to have the text size of your choice. Once you do that, you can also place the Text Box  on an area of your choice on the presentation by clicking and dragging the Box.

  • 5

After this, click on the Inspector button in the Keynote toolbar. Select Build Inspector button after that.

  • 6

Clicking on the Build In button will give you options to give animation effects to the Text Box. Select the one from the menu that you want. You can select the animation type, its duration, order and many other variables to perfect the animation you want.
