Imagine that you are delivering a lecture at some school or university, but the students are not enjoying it at all and they start walking out of the class or make a lot of noise. So, you need to learn a few things that can keep them connected to you.
The best way of doing so is by making them laugh during the lecture. Crack a few jokes, so that everyone stays energised, but make sure that the original purpose is served too. Sometimes, you may waste a lot of time sharing funny thoughts, but the real message is more important.
