How to Make your Audience Laugh
In order to be a good communicator, one has to focus on a lot of things. Writing may not be as difficult as sharing your thoughts verbally. So, one has to be an all-rounder in order to play with words and make the audience feel comfortable.
Even if you are a teacher, business executive, public speaker or a presenter, you have to make sure that the crowd is enjoying whatever you are saying. If that is not the case, things will get really boring.
In some cases, that can be really embarrassing for you as a speaker. Imagine that you are delivering a lecture at some school or university, but the students are not enjoying it at all and they start walking out of the class or make a lot of noise. So, you need to learn a few things that can keep them connected to you.
The best way of doing so is by making them laugh during the lecture. Crack a few jokes, so that everyone stays energised, but make sure that the original purpose is served too. Sometimes, you may waste a lot of time sharing funny thoughts, but the real message is more important.
You don’t necessarily need to be a comedian in order to make anyone laugh. There are plenty of ways of making the mood lighter, so you don’t need to worry at all.
