How to Make Your Hair Glossier
Shiny, healthy, and glossy locks are high on pretty much everyone’s wish list, but with the drudgery of the daily routine, exposure to sunlight and pollution in the environment, and the heat from styling products that hair is frequently subjected to, making your hair look healthy can be a difficult process. However, there are certain methods you can employ, and a variety of products you can use to make your hair glossier and give it a vibrant shine.
Things Required:
– Shampoo and conditioner with silk in it
– Shine serums
– Cellophane treatment
– Deep conditioner
– Nourishing oils (olive, almond, coconut)

1
Nourish your hair regularly with oils that moisturise and hydrate the scalp and hair. These oils could be olive, sweet almond, or coconut. You can also use a combination of these oils, and add in a vitamin E capsule for extra nourishment. Heat up the oil and apply it to your hair while it is still warm – then, wrap up your hair in a cling film, and allow the oil to work its magic for 20 to 30 minutes. Once this time period has elapsed, you can wash the hair treatment off.

If home treatments are not doing it for you, try arranging for a clear cellophane treatment from a reputable and trustworthy salon. This treatment is a bit like hair-colouring, only the effects are not permanent and the treatment has no colour. It involves the application of a transparent and pigment-free gloss to your hair, from root to tip, and results in incredibly glossy and silky hair. The effects of this treatment last for around 4 to 6 weeks.

When you wash your hair, use shampoos, conditioners, and hair products that contain silk proteins. These not only nourish hair but amp up the gloss as they contain properties that reflect light, making hair shinier and glossier. After shampooing and conditioning, follow up with a cold water rinse, to seal the cuticles and set your hair.

When styling your hair, look for products that will help you hair stand up to the heat from styling products and increase its shine. Invest in shine serums or sprays, and apply these after styling. You can also look for products that contain mica – this is a light-reflecting mineral. However, stay away from products that contain alcohol, as this tends to dry hair out.

Focus on general hair maintenance. Deep condition once a week, to eliminate frizz and unruly hair, and to smooth the cuticles. Get regular trims in order to get rid of split ends and damaged hair – keeping hair split-end free will stop it from falling and drying out, and allow the hair to retain moisture and nourishing nutrients.
