How to Make Your Own Android Ringtones

Many cell phone users pay a lot to focus on the ringtones they set on incoming calls. Some keep on downloading their favourite ringtones or the latest ones every day and there are also users who would like to create their own ringtones for their smart phones. A ringtone certainly depicts the taste and mood of a cell phone user and that is why some people prefer to go beyond the ordinary and make ringtones of their own. Android operating system allows its users to practice their free will and hence, different apps are being launched to create one’s own ringtones. We will be going through one of such applications so that you can create ringtones according to your own mood. You can also use the existing MP3 files in your Android cell phone to create ringtones using this application.

Instructions

    Press the ‘Apps’ button to open up the applications in your Android cell phone.

    Go to ‘Play Store’ to download your desired app from the Android server.

    Hit the spyglass in the top right corner and a dialogue box will appear on the top. Type ‘ringtones’ in the dialogue box and hit the ‘search’ button to begin the search for your required application.

    A list of apps will appear on the screen. Select the app with the name ‘MP3 Ringtone Maker’. It is totally free to download.

    Once you have clicked the app, a blue box on the top right corner of your screen will appear, asking you to install the app. Hit the blue button and the application will be installed for your use.

    Using the App

    Once the installation is complete, open up the MP3 Ringtone Maker app. Tap the search button for looking ringtones online.

    You can type a keyword to search in the dialogue box provided and hit the spyglass to begin the search. A list of entries will appear on the screen and you can choose the one you like.

    If you want to create your own ringtone from the existing MP3 files in your Android cell phone, hit ‘back’ button to return to the main menu. Then, click on the ‘Ringtone Editor’ button to initialise making your own ringtone.

    A list of MP3 files existing in your cell phone will appear. Select the one you desire to turn into a ringtone.

    You can move the scroll bar right and left to cut the exact part of the MP3 file you want to be your ringtone. Press the save button present at the bottom right corner of the screen.

    Options will appear on the screen and you click the ‘Make Default’ tab to change the ringtone of your Android phone to the one you just created.
