How to Make Your Own Liquid Foundation
Using a mineral makeup has many health benefits. In addition to being effective, mineral makeup is pure as it produced from minerals such as iron oxides and mica. When applied as makeup, the minerals do not irritate your skin and give a smooth finish. Since the pure makeup does not contain any chemicals, preservatives and other harmful ingredients, it can be used by everyone. However, you may find it a bit messy and it is not easy to carry it when travelling. To overcome these issues, it is advises to liquefy your powdered makeup by adding quality moisturizer.
Things Required:
– 2 tsp. face moisturizer
– Small glass measuring cup
– 3 to 4 drops cyclo-dimethicone (optional)
– Glass stirrer or small metal spoon
– Small glass dish
– Mineral makeup kit
– Measuring spoon
– Plastic toothpick
– 1/2 oz. lip balm jar (empty)

Get a measuring cup and place two tablespoons of moisturizer inside. It is recommended to pour four to five drops to cyclo- dimethicone to the moisturizer. Use a small wooden spoon to mix the two ingredients. Remember to be careful to not spill anything.

Now pour some mineral makeup to a small glass dish. Choose the colours as needed to match your skin colour. Just use your makeup kit and take out lighter and darker shades to add. Take your time when mixing different colours. Rushing to get this job done can result in a disaster. Use a metal spoon to mix the pigment powders thoroughly. It is advised to test the colour of the resulting mixture on the back of your hand to make sure the shade is matching your skin tone.

It is now time to add the mixed pigment to the moisturizer drops that were added to the measuring cup. Be careful when performing this action. Continue to stir until the pigment is thoroughly blended into the mixture. Using a small makeup brush, test the colour of the mix to see if it blends with your skin tone.

Add tiny amount of different colours to ensure the mixed colours matches your skin tone. Take an empty lip balm and add the blended mixture of moisturizer and pigment into it. Make sure the lid is tightly closed.
