Pancakes are great way to start the day as they make the perfect food to have for breakfast. There are many different varieties of pancakes but the base is always a standard pancake mix. Most people buy pancake mix as it is readily available and not very expensive.
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 1 and ½ cups
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Baking powder - 2 tsp
- Baking soda - ½ tsp
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Milk - 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups
- Eggs - 2
- Vanilla (option) - 1 tsp
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
Instructions
- You need to take a mixing bowl and add all the dry ingredients.
- Add one and half cups of all-purpose flour, two tablespoons of sugar, two teaspoons of baking powder, half a teaspoon of baking soda and half a teaspoon of salt.
- Next you need to make the mixture by pouring in 1 ¼ cups of milk in the centre.
- If you want your mix to slightly thinner then you can add another ¼ cup of milk in the mixing bowl.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
- Now you need to add two eggs and two tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- In case you are using vanilla then add one tablespoon in the mixture.
- Next, whisk all the ingredients until they are properly mixed.
- Once you have made the pancakes, you can serve them with a coating of strawberry maple syrup.
- Take a small saucepan and add one cup of maple syrup and one cup of quartered fresh strawberries.
- Cook the syrup mixture for almost 5 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- In order to get the right consistency, cook over medium heat and keep on stirring the mixture.
