How to Makeover a Closet
If you are in hurry and have a disorganised closet, you will have trouble finding the appropriate clothes and chances are that you will miss your appointment. Furthermore, there will be less space to store your clothes.
Remember that closets are not only used for keeping clothes, they are also used for storing luggage, shoes, coats and even keeping seasonal clothing. There is a simple and quick way to organize your closet; you simply need to take everything out and sort them by type.

– Plastic or wood hangers
– Wire mesh bins or tower shelves
– Clear shoeboxe

Empty the closet
You need to take out all the items from your cupboard. Place them according to four categories.
Sort the items which no longer interest you and are better donated to somebody else, damaged items for throwing in dustbin, things you want to keep and things you don’t want to keep in the closet. -

Sort the keeps
From the items you want to keep, form different categories. Separately place them according to their type i.e. you need to separate shirts, trousers, shoes, luggage and other items. -

Hang clothes in the closet
Next you need to hang shirts in the closet according to their colour. Hang similar coloured clothes together so you can find them easily. Also hang other clothes i.e. skirts, trousers, coats, jackets etc. -

Install the bins or shelves
After hanging the clothes, push them to one side and install bins or shelves on the other side. -

Store towels, sweaters and linen
Next you need to set the towels, linen and sweaters on the shelves you installed. Place them according to colour, arranging similar coloured items together. In addition to this, you need to place ties, handbags and belts in these shelves. -

Place the shoeboxes
Now you need to place your shoes in shoeboxes. Place these boxes on the floor of the closet. You need to place in according to their types i.e. place sneakers, formal shoes or dress shoes separately.
