1
The Bike
Make sure that you have a bike that is in good condition. You do not want a bike that will give you issues on the way. Do keep in mind that the conditions will be tough and all aspects of the bike including the tires should be in good shape. -
2
Physical Fitness
Make sure that you are in good physical shape. You must have your body flexible and well stretched before you undertake this trip. Make sure that you do not have any aches or stiffness as it can really drain you later on. Drink a lot of liquid during the biking session as keeping hydrated always helps in keeping you going. -
3
Mental Strength
Mental preparation is also a must. Without it, one can simply not undertake such an adventure. Be sure that you are prepared for tough physical activity as the brain when focused can keep you going and sometimes take away the pain from the physical labour as well. -
4
Momentum
Keep your momentum going as it is crucial in uphill biking. This will allow you to put in less of an effort and achieve better results. If you lose momentum at any time, it will become a lot harder for you to move forward with the same energy and will require quite an effort to gain the same momentum again. -
5
Pace Yourself
Do not over exert at any part of the biking trip. Doing so may get you forward quicker but it will require more energy and you may lose your strength faster than you would want. Make sure that you preserve your energy and keep yourself going. -
6
Be Cautious
With rocks under your bike, it is easy to slip if you are careless about it. Do not go too fast and always maintain a speed where breaking is easy. If you are new to such a track, exercising caution is very important.
