How to Open a Beer Bottle with a Lighter
There are times when you do not have a bottle opener to open up your beer. There are certainly other ways you can use to open the cap and one of them includes using a lighter. It might sound funny to use the lighter to open a beer bottle but it is definitely possible.
You need to use your less dominant hand to get the right grip of the bottle. Get the grip from just under the cap of the bottle and slide a lighter horizontally between your thumb and the cap. You should then push the lighter downwards from the metal side until the cap opens.

1
Hold the bottle tight with your left hand
First of all, hold the bottle in your non-dominant hand. If you are a right-hander, hold the bottle from just under the cap in your left hand. You need to make sure that you hold the bottle tightly as you may risk the bottle to slip if it is not held firmly. Also, you should leave a slight gap between your thumb and the cap. It is advised that the gap should be a little less than the width of the lighter. -
2
Slide the lighter under the cap
When you have found the right grip, slide the lighter horizontally between the thumb and the cap. Keep the lighter at the edge of the cap as that is the area you need to target. -
3
Push the lighter upwards
When the lighter has found its position, try to push the lighter upwards. Make sure one end of the lighter remains at the edge of the cap. Do not change the grip of your left hand as the lighter has to remain in this position until the cap is opened. -
4
Apply some force to push the edge of the cap
Keep pushing the metal end of the lighter downwards so that force is continuously applied to the cap. You will notice the cap moving upwards. Keep applying the force until the cap opens and enjoy the drink.
