Even if you are not a regular internet user, you don’t have to worry at all. The process of creating a free email account is quite easy. If you search the internet, you will find numerous options like Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, which don’t charge you anything. Simply select anyone of them and get started.

Go to your desired email service
Although it is ideal to have different email accounts, you can choose anyone of them in order to get started. Let’s say you have chosen Gmail, which is one of the most widely used services across the globe. -

Go to gmail.com
In order to create an account with this service, go to gmail.com. You will see a few options on the screen, one of which will be to sign in with your existing account. However, you are not supposed to consider that option at this stage. -

Find ‘create an account’
At the top right corner of your screen, you will see an icon of ‘create an account.’ Click on it to move to the next page. If you have chosen another email service, you might see an option of ‘signup’ instead. -

Fill in the personal information
You will be directed to a new page, where you will be asked to provide some personal information like first and last name, birthday, gender and phone number. -

Choose a username
On the same page, you will also have to choose the username for yourself. You might not get the one you desire, as there are thousands of people with common usernames. However, you will be given some options, which will be auto generated, so you can select anyone of them you like. Moreover, you will have to enter a password and then confirm it. -

Provide alternative email address
If you have an existing email address with any of the other services, you should provide that as well. This is not a compulsory step, so you can skip it and move forward. -

Enter security code
Finally, you will have to enter a security code and agree with the terms and services of Gmail. You can now hit 'create account' to send and receive free emails.
