Your time and money will be saved, you will be more aware of your eating and shopping habits. If you are on a tight budget, a well organized pantry helps you keep track. So get motivated to do it. The most important thing is visibility. Everything should be in sight. Put small objects like spice cans in a basket. Add a shelf to give you more storage space. Use the “first in, first out” approach to arrange things. Put the older items in the front so that they get used first and the newer ones should be at the back. Also keep a writing pad and pen inside the pantry to jot down items that need to be re purchased.

Things should be arranged according to their purpose. The baking products should go with sweet things and the savory herbs with sauces. Special items like toppings and sprinkles should be placed together. At one side should be those eatables that have shorter life cycle. Higher shelves should be stocked with less used objects. Also put the same cans in a stack s o that you don’t have to move items to see what’s below. The shelf that is nearest should have basic items used daily: cooking oil. Also salt, vinegar, mustard, ketchup and soy sauce should be in easy access. One section should be designated to those spices which add an extra touch to recipes.
