How to Paint a School Bus
A school bus is normally painted with yellow colour. However, it can be painted with other colours or art works according to the instructions of the school authorities. Furthermore, there may be a need to change the colour of a school bus which has been sold at an auction.
If you have been given a school bus to paint, you can change its colour as per the requirement of a particular company (which has bought it in an auction) or you can just repaint it yellow for local school transportation. It takes few equipments and materials to paint a school bus. Besides, you need to have an appropriate place at which you will keep it for few days during painting.

First of all, you have to pressure wash the bus. Before, pressure washing the bus, you must remove all the trim and other parts which need to be protected for instance, mirrors. Then, part the bus under the sunshine and let it dry.

Now, you have to rough up the bus body by rubbing down the existing paint. After that, cover it with the help of pre-coat layer so as to protect it from corrosion. You can also apply paint thinner after rubbing down the paint. Let the material dry.

You have made your bus ready to paint. Take any colour of your choice and start painting the bus. You should buy five to seven gallons of paint. Besides, if you have bought multiple buckets of paint, you will have to mix them together before painting otherwise the colour will appear a little bit different.

You can also paint the interior of the bus, but for that you have to wash it well. Moreover, it is not necessary to paint the interior with the same colour, you can use any colour of your choice.

If you have been asked to draw any kind of artwork on the bus, you can easily do it. First, you will have to sketch the image or any other artwork on the body of the bus. Then, add colours on the specific places of that image to make it look good.

You can use different colours for your doors and roof. In addition, you can also write text (quotations or school name) on the body with the help of paint.
