How to Paint a Watercolor Vase

Making a vase and then painting it out of watercolors is something that might seem very easy to do, but in fact it is a little more challenging than one could imagine. This is why you need to ensure that you don’t make any mistakes while doing so.

Now the first thing you want to do before you go on and start painting a vase, is to actually try some basic painting moves first. You want to get your mind and hand to develop a connection, and this can only be done if you go on and practice quite a bit before hand.
Practicing and getting your artistic talent flowing will allow you to avoid making silly mistakes, and will also ensure that you end up producing the best possible art work which you can.
This is why you need to practice as much as you possibly can, just as you would with anything else. -

Now once you have gone on to practice as much as you want to, go ahead and get your vase underway.
Start off by sketching out the outlines of the vase using a light pencil, since you don't want that part to stick out when you paint over it with water colors. Instead, you are looking to just have a very vague outline on paper, so that when you fill it in, you know just where and what to paint over. -

Now with the basic lines in place, start painting the vase in. You can start off with a lighter color and then incorporate some darker tones into it. Try keeping a single stroke pattern, so that it doesn't look out of place.
At the same time, consider the light and shade effect on the vase when you are painting it. You want the vase to look as realistic as you possibly can, which is why you should take your time with the painting, as opposed to rushing it in.
