    Join a swimming academy

    In order to learn swimming, you must choose a suitable swim academy. For this, you must search for a reputed swimming academy in your organisation. You must search well in your locality and ask for feedback from your family members and friends as they might be able to recommend you a good swimming school. Make sure that joining that school is feasible for you and it suits your time. Most importantly, you should also check for the membership fee and coaching charges to ensure that it falls within your budget.

    Choose your stroke

    The most important thing in this regard is to choose the stroke that suits your interest. Most people learn all four strokes but due to their natural tendency they are extraordinary at a particular stroke as compared to other strokes. This does not mean that you should stop focusing on other strokes instead, your main stroke will keep getting better if you even swim other strokes. It takes a little time until a person figures out his main stroke, so you should be patient and do the required hard work.

    Train hard

    After you have identified your main stroke, it is of utmost importance that you should listen carefully to your instructor and do as he says. You must try hard to make your stroke perfect. For this, you will be required to observe your stroke and keep attempting to make it perfect. It will take a lot of training and hard work; therefore you must not lose hope and keep working hard. You should also involve your instructor as much as you can. You should keep asking him questions about making your stroke perfect and this way he will also take interest in your swimming.
