However, you need to avoid desert in noon because of the strong sun. Remember that the bright sun leads to strong contrasting ratios and deep shadows.

Capture desert animals and plants pictures
You can find animals in deserts such as lizards, eagles, snakes, hummingbirds and condors. Besides these, you can see some unusual and simply take pictures of them and capture the moments. These animals will most probably present near water in deserts. This is because water causes vegetation and thus wildlife will be present. -

Take pictures of objects with large depth
With the presence of a strong and bright sun, you can take pictures of objects with large depths. You can take snaps of textured objects such as rocks by changing the camera settings ranging from F-Stop to F-16 or smaller. By this, the depth of field will be increased and subsequently you can get sharp focus across that object. -

Sights en route to deserts
While driving to a desert, you will see several unique sights and things. In case you cross Palm Springs, you will see dinosaur statues near a gas station. You might even see wind farms along the way. -

Apply skylight filters
You can use skylight filters on your lenses in order to protect it from sand damage. This is because desert is a dusty and windy place. You can even use polarising filter for few images in order to remove glass and metal reflections.
