Make sure that your laptop or computer is on and that the operating system has fully loaded. Open your Windows Live Messenger, and Sign In to your Microsoft account.

Once you have signed in successfully, then from your menu bar, find the “Actions” tab, and click it.

When you do that, a new Messenger window will open, with a list of your contacts that are available to play some game with you. Please do note that you can play games with contacts that are online. Hence, in your availability list, only online contacts will be shown. Double click on the contact that you want to play a game with. The Messenger will send a request to your friend for his approval to play a game. You can start playing when your opponent gives the Messenger his approval. Some games might require more bandwidth so be sure that playing some of these games does not slow down your internet connection if you are trying to do other things as well.
