How to Play Jackpot Ball Card Game

Jackpot card game is a game in which every participant tries to form the best hand to win. All players have the option to improve their position in the game by improving their hand during the three discard and draw rounds. Whenever a player discards a card, it costs them a point. The player at the end with the best hand wins a number of points based on the total number of cards discarded by each player.

Things Required:

– Deck of playing cards
– Pen or pencil
– Pad of paper

Instructions

  • 1

First, you need to find a small group of friends who can play the jackpot card game with you. The game can be played between at least two or maximum five players. However, the ideal size of the group to play the game is four or five players.

  • 2

Give each player 300 points to start the game. Write this amount next to each player's name on the score sheet. Deal 5 cards face down to each player and allow each to look at his own cards.

  • 3

Instruct each player to choose up to 3 cards to discard from their hand and have them replaced by an equal number of cards from the drawing pile. Explain to the players that they lose 10 points from their score for each card they discard. Instruct the players to keep their discards face down in front of them.

  • 4

Conduct two more rounds of discarding and replacing cards. Each time, there is a maximum for a player to exchange 3 cards, just like in the first discard and draw round.

  • 5

Subtract a point total of 10 times the number of cards each player discarded from their own personal score on the score sheet.

  • 6

Count the total number of cards that were discarded and multiply this by 10. This is the amount of points the player with the best hand will win.

  • 7

Reveal the hands and determine the player that has the best hand. That player has the point total calculated in Step 7 added to their total score.

  • 8

Collect the cards and deal another hand of Jackpot. Continue playing until one person has a score of 2,500 points or higher. That player is the winner.
