You should ask your friends or family members about which antivirus products that they prefer to use on their computers. Also, if you have access to a professional computer user working in an IT company, try to find out which antivirus programme they use on their expensive servers and computers to keep themselves safe from macro viruses.

After downloading the file, you have to run it. Follow the instructions in the wizard. In the end, it will ask you to register online (if it is not free), enter the registration code or just activate a trial version for the time being. Click ‘Finish’ to complete the installation. Be sure to take your time while downloading and installing your antivirus programme. Now, open the antivirus programme and update it (if the version is older). After updating the software, click on system scan option so as to detect the macro viruses in your computer. After scanning, it will show you the list of the viruses which have been detected. It is up to you to take the action against those threats. Even though, it is recommended to delete those viruses, but you can also quarantine them. Make sure that you run a thorough or complete scan and not just a quick scan on your computer.
