How to Punch Harder Without a Bag
Without any doubt, one of the key aspects of boxing is punching power. Enhancing punching power is not all about hitting a sand bag. It is impossible to increase your power even without banging a bag. In this strategy, the focus stays on different areas of the body including fists that are mainly responsible for powerful punching.
The main idea behind harder punching is transferring the body force to your opponent’s face through the fist. It needs great practice. Despite a strong physique, a lot of boxers fail to do this trick just because of improper form.
Things required:
– Wrist weights
– Dumbbells
– Weighted jump rope
– Medicine ball
– BOSU ball

It is not a good idea to simply throw punches in the air. For the best results, you should attach some weight to your wrists. Even if you are not practising, let some weight stay with your wrists. It will make your arm stronger.
-
2
It is the time to do weighted punches. After holding a pair of light dumbbells, perform a long series of straight punches. Avoid any twists by keeping your wrists firm and straight.

3
Try rope jumping. There is no use of using an ordinary rope. Get a weighted one to perform at least 100 jumps with 30-second intervals. The extra weight will help you make your shoulders, arms and core stronger. All these body parts are extremely important for powerful punching.

Throwing a medicine ball is another good trick in this regard. Request a friend to partner you in this activity. After asking your friend to stand at least six feet away from you, do one-arm medicine ball throwing.
There are a few things that need to be kept in mind during this activity. You are supposed to keep your elbow down while holding the ball. When throwing it, transfer your body force to your arm while engaging hip muscles. This technique helps in generating tremendous punching power. -

Train your shoulders by using a BOSU ball. When lying on the ball, make sure the upper body is elevated. Meanwhile, the heels should stay in touch with the surface.
After lying properly, hold one dumbbell in each hand and roll from one side to another. While moving, try to throw a powerful punch in the air. Keep doing this until you feel exhausted.
