How to Reheat Pizza in a Frying Pan

In most parts of the world, pizza is a rage. This dish is best served hot, with cheese dripping on the sides. This however is not the case when pizza gets cold. It becomes a bit saggy and in such a situation, you can reheat the pizza slices in a number of different ways to restore crispness. Using a frying pan is one of the possible, yet unconventional methods. The number of pizza slices you can reheat using this method would be dependent on the size of the frying pan.

Things Required:

– Cast iron or non-stick frying pan with lid
– Stove
– Spatula

    Place a cast iron or non-stick frying pan on a stove burning at ‘medium high’ heat. Allow at least 2 to 3 minutes for the pan to preheat. Reheating pizza in a preheated frying pan would retain most of the pizza flavour.

    One at a time, place the pizza slice you want to reheat in the frying pan. Make sure there is enough room between pizza slices, for you to move the slices in the pan if required. Moreover, do not stuff the frying pan with pizza slices. If your intention is to reheat a large number of pizza slices, considering reheating in small batches.

    Seal the opening of the frying pan with a lid and let the pizza slices cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. Check the slices after the aforesaid time. The pizza would be reheated only if cheese is melted and gooey. If that is not the case, replace the lid and heat for another 1 to 2 minutes. Continue checking and reheating until the cheese is melted.

    Remove the frying pan from the stove. Carefully remove the pizza slices using a spatula and serve immediately. If you want to heat more pizza slices, simply repeats steps 1 through 3.
