Heating Soup
If you are making soup directly from the can, it can be made in the microwave. Simply pour the content of the can into a microwave safe bowl or container. Add water as instructed on the can (may not be required).
Cover the bowl or container with plastic wrap (leave one corner open to let steam out), a microwave cover or paper towel.
Although the can will suggest a microwave time, it is more effective to heat the soup as follows:
Simply put the container in the microwave and heat for 1 minute. Open the door and stir the soup. Repeat this process in 30 second intervals until the soup is heated. Test a bit of the soup for temperature every minute every minute.
Note: The soup and container could be hot. You may need oven mitts or something similar to protect your hands. -
