How to Remake Old Chairs
Just about every household needs to have furniture. This is because furniture helps the house feel like a home and gives you a sense of belonging. Without any furniture, a house would be a rather odd place to be in. This is because you would have all the space in the world, but you wouldn’t know what to do with it.
Now there are a lot of items that go on and help you pull your home together. However, chairs are amongst the most common and most used items in almost every home, this is because you need to sit to rest yourself.
However, instead of always buying new chairs, sometimes people tend to go on and remake their old chairs. This adds a vintage prospect to the chairs and makes them look a whole lot classier. At the same time, you get to save a lot of money in the process. Basically it is a win-win situation to remake old chairs, and if you haven’t been doing it yet, you should start now.

In order to go on and remake chairs, the first thing that you want to do is to go on and gather all the chairs that you have in your house. Try and locate all the old chairs that you have and pile them together. This is important, since it will help you do an inventory check for the work that you are supposed to do.
Once you have all the chairs lined up, go ahead and take a look at them, and figure out which ones can actually be repaired, and which ones can't. After you do this, get rid of the ones that can't be fixed and keep a hold of the ones that can be fixed. -

Almost all of these chairs will be made out of wood, so make sure you have ample supplies of wood to repair the chairs. Based on what parts of the chairs are missing, you are going to have to make them out of wood. Some chairs will have missing legs or arm rests, so use the wood to make these.
Now go ahead and attach the newly created parts into the missing places.
After this is done, go ahead and sand blast the whole thing and then give it a fresh layer of paint.
Let it dry and wait for the paint to match the whole chair.
Next you are going to have to work on the back, and the cushion. Based on what material it is made off, you are going to have these parts custom made, otherwise you can make them yourself and then attach them to the chair.
