One of the easiest remedies is that you step into a cold shower for about two minutes, and then take a hot shower immediately afterwards. Taking the initial cold shower ensures that your skin pores close up, so that the fiberglass cannot penetrate deeper. However, when you take a hot shower, it will open up your skin pores and this will help release the fiberglass trapped in it. Make sure you don’t make the water too hot for the shower, or it will cause your pores to swell up. This remedy is suitable for mild itching.

Epsom salts can effectively be used to draw fiberglass out from your skin. Add 1 cup of Epsom salt to boiling water and allow it to dissolve completely. Pour the mixture into a warm bath and soak your affected skin areas in it for at least 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water afterwards.

Step into a warm shower for 10 to 15 minutes and then use a nylon stocking to scrape the affected parts of your skin. Nylon will greatly help in pulling the fiberglass out of your skin.

Apply duct tape to your skin and then quickly rip it off. This may rip the hair off your skin too, but it will also remove the fiberglass from your pores. Make sure you do not press the duct tape down too hard on your skin, as it can further push the fiberglass into the pores.
