    Take the Old Sink off:

The first task is to take the old sink off so that you can install the new one. Shut off the water supply to the sink. Take off the water supply, drain and trap pipe. Loosen the clips that hold the sink. Use the putty knife to scrap any caulk. Once you have loosened up the sink, lift it off its place.

    Choose New Sink:

Stainless steel sinks are both durable and easy to clean. Porcelain ones look stylish and grand but are difficult to maintain and are also susceptible to drop marks by any utensil. Take measurement of your sink space. You can buy a sink that is equal to the previous one or larger than it. However, you cannot get a sink smaller than the old one because you cannot reduce the size of the hole and will need to replace the whole counter top.

    Install Sink:

    Stainless Steel:

These sinks come with their own attachment clips. All you have to do is to place them on the hole, fit them and secure them by screwing the clips to the underside. You just have to tighten the nuts.

    Porcelain:

Place the sink upside down and apply a bead of silicon caulk around the underside of the sink. Turn it upright and place it over the counter top hole in the right alignment.
