Hubcaps seem to fall into this category. They are cheap and when used correctly, they can make just about any car look good.

However, more than often, hubcaps tend to get damaged and break off rather easily. This is when they need to be replaced. Replacing them is not an issue, the issue is that not many people can identify their cars hubcap needs, and hence they aren’t really sure how to go about replacing them, or if they should even replace them in the first place.

    Identify hubcap

    The first thing that you need to do is to identify and locate any damage, lost or broken hubcaps that your car might have. Once this happens you need to try and go to the market to find an exact copy of the hubcap that your other wheels have attached onto them.

    Now after doing this, you need to now go on and study the hubcap and figure out if it is a screw on hubcap, or a pop on and off one.

    Screw on hubcap

    After your analysis and ability to find hubcaps, if you find out that your car has screw on and off hubcaps, you have to follow some simple rules to get the hubcap on.

    First you need to identify and locate the screw that is holding your hubcap in place. Once you do this, you need to unscrew and remove that screw. This will now allow you to remove the hubcap with ease.

    Next up you need to place the new hubcap in place. Once you do this you need to screw the new hubcap in place of the old one and you are ready to go.

    Pop on hubcaps

    If you have a pop on hubcap, things are a lot easier for you to do. Firstly all you have to do is get a screwdriver or a similar tool and pop out the old hubcap.

    Once this is done, all you have to do, is place the new hubcap in place and pop it in, to make sure it is secures in place. After you have done this, you are good to go.
