The first thing required to get right study materials from a library is to know the subject for which you are looking for. Unless you are not aware of the basis you will find it hard to get what you are looking for. -

You should have some basic study on the subject, and should know about the preferred materials for reference. You can search for them online as well as discuss it with people who are already working in the field. Have an idea that which book or books will serve your purpose better. -

Once you have an idea that what you are looking for, it is not a bad idea to go to the library and see what materials are on offer. You can check this with the help of the index that the library has for all books. You can also check with the staff members of the library as they are at home with different sections and not only will they be able to help you in getting to the right section but may also be able to help you in finding the right book. -

Once you have gathered some books that you feel can do the job for you, give them a bit of a read to further be able to see what works for you. Each book has its own style of writing and you can connect with the books that suit you more. Also see the index of each book to see if they cover the desired topics or not.
