How to Sell Rare Coins on EBay
In modern days, literally everything is being sold online. Numerous online websites host auctions where people can sell or buy anything. If you happen to have a collection of rare coins that you would like to sell, eBay is one of the best sites for you. All you need is an eBay account and a camera or a scanner and you can post a free ad on eBay. Of course you will need a computer with an internet connection as well. Here is how you can sell rare coins on eBay.

With your eBay username and password, log in to your account. If you do not have an eBay account, create one on the official eBay website by clicking on ‘register’ and entering the required information. You will automatically be logged in if you create a new eBay account.

Point to the ‘Sell’ tab to reveal a list of options. At the bottom of this list, click on the ‘Start Selling’ button. If it is a new account that you are using, you will be prompted to enter some details about yourself such as your contact information and your street address. Enter the required information and click the ‘Continue’ button.

On the next page, click ‘Browse Categories’. From the list of options that appears, choose ‘Coins & Paper Money’. A list of subcategories will be displayed. Depending on the coins that you are planning to sell, select the appropriate subcategory. Another list of options will appear which is basically about the value of the coins that you are selling. If it is a single coin that you are selling, choose the appropriate option. You will have to choose ‘Other’ if it is a collection of coins that you plan to sell.

Click ‘Continue’. You will land on a page which will require you to provide additional details about the rare coins that you are selling. You will need a few photographs of the coin or collection of coins that you plan to sell. Use a digital camera or a scanner and take digital images of the coins that you are putting up for sale. Upload these images, saving them in your computer’s hard disk first and then tagging them to your eBay advertisement.

Enter all the additional information required. Take help from a numismatist or just use google to find the information that you require. Mention an appropriate price for the coin or collection of coins. Click ‘Continue’. Finally click ‘List my item’ to post your ad on eBay.
