How to Send a Fax to London
The new numbering system introduced by British telecom is very different from the old one because it uses more digits and a complex structure to cater to more users. Feed the paper you want to send by fax in your Fax machine. Remember to feed the paper backwards and in an upside down position.

Now you need to enter USA’s international prefix code that is used to dial anywhere in the whole world. In case of USA, it is 011. If you are not in USA, you can swap this number with a prefix number of your country.

Now dial United Kingdom’s international dialling code that is 0044. It must be noted that there is no need to dial 00 - instead, just dial 44.
After this, enter London’s area code which should be like 020. But you do not need to dial 020 if you are dialing from a local city. Just dial 20.

Now dial the number on which you want to send the fax. It should be an 8 digit number. This 8 digit number was introduced in 2000.
So far you have dialed (01 44 20 XXXXXXXX).
Replace XXXXXXXX with your desired destination number.

Now locate the "send" or "start" key on the fax machine and press it to send the fax. Once it’s sent, fax machine will generate a delivery report to show the status of the fax.
