How to Set Yahoo as Default Email
Yahoo is one of the leading email service providers all over the world. You may want to use your Yahoo Email Account as your primary email address. Configuring Yahoo as your default email would mean that all the emails sent from your computer or laptop would be sent from you Yahoo email account. The task of configuring Yahoo as default email account is very simple and should take no more than a few minutes of your time. The only thing you will need is a computer with internet access in order for you to access your email account.

Go to the official Yahoo webpage and click the button labelled ‘Mail’. You will be redirected to the Yahoo Mail page. Click the orange button labelled ‘Create New Account’.

Yahoo will redirect you to a page where you will need to provide some personal details such as your first and last name, your birth date, place and the country in which you live. Other than that, you will have to pick a Yahoo ID and see if it is available or not. Type in all the required details and click the button labelled ‘Create my account’ at the bottom of the page.

You will be redirected to a page where you can select two secret questions and then answer them. You will also be required to enter you cell phone number for verification purposes. This information is used by Yahoo to help you change the password to your email account in case you forget it.

After you have entered all the required information, click the button labelled ‘Done’ and you will be redirected to a page where all the information you just provided will be listed. Check it and then click the button labelled ‘Get Started’.

Login to you Yahoo email account and open ‘Internet Option’ from the browser you are using. Under the ‘Internet Options’ window, click the tab labelled ‘Programs’. Under the ‘Internet Programs’ section, click on the down arrow button against Email:

From the list that appears, choose ‘Yahoo Mail’ and then click the button labelled ‘OK’ followed by ‘Apply’. The Yahoo email account which you logged into would be configured as your default email address.
