How to Shorten Your Time in The Kitchen
Having good food is a lot of fun. However, making it and keeping the kitchen in order while it is being used may not be exactly the same. To maintain a clean kitchen, one has to spend hours every day.
If you are someone who likes to cook and have a kitchen that looks spotless but do not want to spend too much time in the kitchen itself, you can do so by taking a smart approach. By doing it right, you will be able to get the work done quicker and will have more time for other activities.

1
Start Early
Starting early is an excellent idea as you are fresh in the morning hours and can work at a quicker rate than any other time of the day. The first couple of hours are crucial and one can get moving and finish the job in a rush. -
2
Set a Timetable
Have a timetable and work according to that. If you have scheduled to be in the kitchen from 8 to 10, be there and work. Having a timetable will stop you from going in and out all the time and reducing the amount of work done, thus forcing you to have long hours in the kitchen. -
3
Be Efficient
As you work in the kitchen, be sure to work efficiently. Do not slack or wait for one thing to be done before you start another. For example, as the food is being prepared, instead of engaging into something else or sitting idle, get the dishes done and also clean the kitchen. This will save you a lot of time and you will be able to reduce the time spent in the kitchen. -
4
Get Some Help
Engage your kids in the kitchen chores. After all, it is there house as well and they need to participate. This will create a sense of responsibility in the kids as well as give them the confidence that they can do something. It will also provide you with a chance to have some more free time. -
5
Leave the Kitchen with Work
Instead of staying in the kitchen for everything, there are things that you can take out and do while you talk on the phone or watch the television. Chores such as cutting veggies can be done as you chat with friends over the phone sitting at your dining table. Although you will still be doing something related to the kitchen, you will be spending time away from it.
