Now, when you are all set to go, prepare yourself for this adventure. Make sure that you fastened your snowshoes with straps. To do this, you should wear boots first and then your snowshoes. To make it easy, tighten your front strap before the ankle strap. In the end, tighten the middle strap and you are good to go. Another important thing you should do while snowshoeing in Crater Lake National Park is to use poles. These poles or sticks will help you in maintaining balance and checking for the depth of the snow before stepping on a particular area.

    Settle your shoe in snow

If your snow is not hard then you should kick into the snow a bit to get a grip. This will help you in climbing up. Keep your pace uniform so that you can cover a lot of ground in a short time.
