How to Stay Hydrated During a Workout

Water is like a fuel for human for human body. Until your body is hydrated, you will find it working very smoothly and properly. When it comes to various workouts, they are not doubt very useful for a healthy body and mind. But, the major water portion from our body releases in the form of sweating as a result of various workouts.  It can lead to serious issue like dehydration, which is a root cause of many issues like constipation, skin dryness and dullness, kidney’s issue etc. Therefore, it is really important to know all the possible ways to stay hydrated during a workout.

    Drink Water Regularly

    Adopt a habit of drinking at least eight to ten glasses of water per day. It is necessary to meet the fluid requirements of your body. Scientifically, every individual has to drink 5 to 8 oz of pure water after every 15 to 20 minutes during the day.

    Drink Water Prior to Exercise

    You will be sweating and shedding two much water from your body during the exercises. So make pre arrangements for it and drink plenty of water in advance. At least 2 to three hours before starting an exercises, drink at least 16 oz of pure water in order to maintain a proper fluid level. In case if you don’t have hours available and you are left with 10 to 20 minutes, then you have to drink 8 to 10 ounces of water.

    Add sports mixes and electrolytes

    If you are planning a strenuous or lengthy exercise session for more than one hour, then make sure to add some electrolytes, sports drink or sport mixes to the water. It boosts your energy level to survive the tiring and long exercising session.

    Drink Water During Exercises

    Drink water whenever you feel thirsty during the exercise session. For this purpose, store the water or pure juice in an easy-to-use bottle or container with a simple lid in order to make sure that it is easily accessible for you.

    Drink Water After Exercise

    Once you are done with workout, sit down aside for few minutes until your heart beats are normal. Now drink more water in order to pay off the liquid that you lost while exercising.
