How to Stop Being Oversensitive

Over sensitivity is not a bad trait in itself, but it can lead people to refrain from your company. A person may be over sensitive because of many causes, but all of them point towards a single commonality – life experiences.

Every over sensitive person has had some bad experience in his/her life that forces a cautious approach, one which may seem unnatural to others. That eventually makes you unique and there ain’t people who would want to invest their precious time in understanding you and acting according to your needs and wishes.

One common case of oversensitivity comes in the form of relationships. A person betrayed in love, often becomes judgmental and wary, and wouldn’t allow anybody to get close enough again, just because he/she doesn’t want his/her trust to be shattered again. It may be a perfectly correct attitude for you, given your bad experiences in the past, but what about the person who sincerely wanted you to be happy?

It is therefore necessary to make an effort to lower your sensitivity levels and give more room to people around you. Off course, it is easier said than done, but the least you can do is to make an effort.
