How to Stop Your Child from Becoming Obese
Bad habits die hard, and these habits are usually developed at a very small age. While some habits have more to do with the character development of the child, over eating is something which may not define his/her character, but would certainly leave a lasting impression in the form of obesity.
Obesity should not be taken lightly, for it is not a condition rather a disease, one which facilitates the initiation of so many other diseases. The health risks involved range from early puberty to diabetes, and it is the duty of the parents to keep a close eye on what their children eat and how it affects their physique.

1
Be a role model
Being a parent is not easy. There is so much you have to change, just to give your child a better environment. Among those changes, one of the most important is the adoption of correct eating habits. Eat healthy and nutritious food, and gradually the child will get accustomed to the habit. Also, inculcate the habit of leaving the food even when there is still some room for more. -
2
Tasty food is a must
The important thing here is to give your kid food, which is not only nutritious, but also tasty. Otherwise, it is only natural for him to turn toward unhealthier yet tastier options aka fast food like burgers, pizzas etc. Figure out what you kid likes best and mould your daily cooking according to his wishes. -
3
Do not ban fast food completely
Don’t make the sin of taking fast food out of your child’s life. If you do so, your child will develop a strong longing and will avail the first chance to eat it without you knowing. Making such food at home can be a good idea. -
4
Develop the habit of exercise
X-box, play station and other gaming consoles have changed the meaning of childhood. Instead of playing with friends in the backyard or in a ground, children now prefer to spend their time with these fancy gadgets. As a parent, it is your responsibility that your child adds some sort of physical activity in his/her daily routine. Be extremely rigid about that and you will help him/her avoid obesity. -
5
Don’t let him/her eat after eight in the evening
People usually sleep by 11 and the important thing is finish eating at least three hours before. Don’t let you children eat late at night as it can add to the body fats.
