1
Make a proper daily routine
It is highly recommended that you make a proper daily routine, in which you must allocate some time for yourself. Without a routine, things can become messy and you will be mentally occupied, which is definitely not good for your health. -
2
Take mini breaks
For a single parent, it is extremely difficult to follow the same routine day in and day out. Therefore, you should give yourself mini breaks in between to rejuvenate your energy. Keep in mind that if you skip cleaning the bathrooms for a day or allow the kids to skip a bath, nothing terrible will happen. -
3
Learn to say ‘no’
For a single parent, it is necessary to learn to say no whenever you are short on time. Some men and women just cannot say no out of courtesy as they do not want to disappoint their friends or relatives. However, being a single parent, you will come across certain situations in your daily life when you will have to say no for a party invitation or any other gathering. Do not feel guilty because your friends and relatives should be able to understand your situation. -
4
Change your mindset
Single parents usually think only about their kids and adopt an attitude of only giving. However, you should replenish yourself as well. Create a balance while looking after your children and make sure that you are not ignoring yourself. -
5
Take help
It is highly recommended to be independent but there is nothing wrong in taking help from any of your friends or family members once in awhile. However, do not be over reliant on anyone.
