How to Train Your Babysitter
All babysitters do not have the experience to handle children. There are some who have ample experience of handling all types of children, but some do not have any idea. For this, you need to make sure that you train your babysitter nicely so that you are not concerned about your children when they are with him or her. You must give clear instructions to the babysitter on how to handle children in case they misbehave or are not listening to you. Also, ask him or her to follow the rules at all times which includes sleeping on time.

Assume the babysitter knows nothing
You must not assume things. Do not think that the person who will be looking after your children know everything. You need to provide detailed instructions to the babysitter so that there is no confusion after you leave. Tell him or her about the habits of the children and the things to do. -

Show the house
It is important that you walk the babysitter through the house and show every room so that he or she knows where to get things from. Show the kitchen, the bedrooms and the playing area of the children. Also, make sure that you inform the babysitter against any dangerous areas in the house for the babies. For example, ask him or her to keep the basement door closed at all times. -

Discipline
Inform the babysitter properly on what he or she should do in case of any disciplinary problem. Children would misbehave when they do not see their parents around. Advise strongly against any physical punishments to your children. -

Rules
Tell him or her about any rules that you have set for the children. This includes not staying up late at night and the particular time they must be watching television. This will help in setting up a good routine for your children. -

Provide proper information
You should write down at least three phone numbers to the babysitter in case of any emergency. This is extremely important for the safety of your children. The babysitter must also have the keys of the house in case there is an emergency inside the house.
