If the toe is scrapped or wounded, then you should try to use a small amount of anti-bacterial cream. Use the cream on regular basis, in order to make your toe heal faster. You can visit a nearby medical store to buy an on-the-counter antibacterial cream.

Wear open toed shoes on regular basis. Avoid close shoes unless you feel that the toe is completely healed. Make sure the swelling is gone and you do not feel any pain when the toe is slightly pressed.
