How to Treat Oily Skin and Blackheads

One of the most common questions asked from beauticians and dermatologists is how to get rid of oily skin, avoid blackheads, treat open pores and deal with acne problems. All these are the issues related to oily skin. Of all these, blackheads are the worst, since they not only clog your pores but also make your complexion darker. Blackheads are nothing more than gunk accumulated in your open pores. Since the pores are exposed to air all the time, the top layer of the gunk gets oxidized and turns a darkish black colour.

You can always get these issues treated at a beauty salon or at the office of a dermatologist, but they may prescribe expensive treatment However, you can also address these issues at home using some common household items you may already have in your kitchen. All you have to do is clean out large facial pores regularly.

    Exfoliation and Microdermabrasion

Make microdermabrasion and exfoliation a part of your weekly routine. You can use a number of household items to exfoliate your skin and get rid of blackheads. For best results use Nutmeg and milk scrub to exfoliate your facial skin. The abrasives in Nutmeg not only help you get rid of the excess oil on your face, but also leave your skin soft and supple. Milk on the other hand nourishes your skin. Lactic acid present in milk helps remove dead skin cells.

Use Egg white to pull out blackheads

Apply egg white all over your nose (or areas with blackheads) in layers using your fingers or a face brush. First apply a thin layer, let it dry before you spread a second layer over it. Let these layers of egg white dry completely (almost 15 minutes). Soak a washcloth in warm water and scrub these egg white layers off your face gently. Your face will be clean, super smooth and soft.
