How to Treat Presbycusis
Presbycusis is referred to hearing loss among aged people. It is one of the most common problems arising from aging. Presbycusis usually occurs in both ears and subsequently cause difficulty in hearing. This is because the ears’ hair which convert sound waves to nerve signals are damaged. Nerve deafness is one of the causes of Presbycusis. It can also occur due to exposure of high decibel sounds which badly affects cilia in the ear. When hair inside your ears stop growing, the end result is permanent deafness. Loss of hearing can be genetic among people. However, nerve deafness can also result from loud music with ear pieces and sounds from industrial machines.
