1
Shampoo your hair
The first thing you need to do is to shampoo your hair. Try to use the shampoo that is specifically made for rough hair. Thoroughly shampoo your hair and use ice cold water to rinse it. This will add more sheen to your hair and it will allow sealing the hair cuticle. Allow your hair to dry naturally. Do not use blow dryers or any other thing for this purpose and let it dry naturally. -
2
Straighten your hair
You cannot proceed further without straightening your hair. Carefully straighten your hair and do not rush at this stage. Take your time before you apply and straighten your hair step by step. The main reason for taking it slow is to protect your hair from getting damaged because of the use of intense heat. -
3
Use hot rollers
It is recommended that you use hot rollers to straighten your hair. Do not divide your hair further and where your curls naturally divide, curl your hair. You need to let the rollers heat your hair for about 20 minutes in order to hold the curl for a longer period of time. After 20 minutes, carefully remove the rollers. Take a hair spray and spray your hair lightly. Carefully separate the waves for a better look and shake out your curls. This will loosen up your hair to some extent but the work is not done yet. -
4
Use a large-barrel curling iron
Not many girls like using hot rollers and they prefer using curling iron to create long waves. For curly hair, you need to use a large-barrel curling iron but do not operate it on high heat. Keep it at low heat and work with one section at a time. Carefully wrap your hair around the barrel and remove it after some time. Use your fingers to tease the waves.
