    Make sure the food processor is turned on. Put the lid back on the bowl of the processor so you can operate the machine to avoid making a mess. Now take a knife and trim leaves or other unwanted parts of the fruits or vegetables you want to chop in your new food processor. Add the chopped food into the bowl. Make sure the container is only filled up to the recommended level to avoid leakage through the lid. This level is usually marked outside the bowl.
